Churches in Marsh Baldon Parish

Marsh Baldon St Peter and Toot Baldon St Lawrence with Nuneham Courtenay

Baldon Lane The Baldons Oxford

The Parish has two churches, St Peter's Marsh Baldon is situated in a tranquil setting on the edge of the village and St Lawrence Toot Baldon. 'Toot' means 'a look-out' which may explain why this small 13th century church is isolated at the end of a long avenue in an attractive setting with good open views. The previous Bishop of Oxford called it the diocese's best kept secret. Services alternate between the two buildings but the welcome is equally warm at both. We are part of a cluster with our neighbours in Berinsfield and Drayton St Leonard under the care of one of the Dorchester Team Vicars. When we have a special service this is usually held instead of our normal routine one.
